The daffodils have spoken.

Bring on the early spring, late sunsets, and warmer days! The daffodils have spoken and we are ready to get on with the program.

The biggest news in Milton this week is that after much love and labor, the Thomas Day House/Union Tavern is getting a long awaited visit from the Governor's office. This is the public's first taste of the house becoming a state historic site. From our view (just across the street), we could not be happier to celebrate this huge milestone! In celebration of the soon to open historic site, stop by and check out some fresh Milton swag. We will be rotating in new items over the coming months, so keep your eagle eyes on it.

This March we are bringing back two favorite pass times: green beer and basketball. For St Patrick's Day, we are partnering with a few of our local business friends to put on the Second Annual St. Patrick's Day Hunt for the "Bedazzled" Shamrock. The scavenger hunt begins at 5:30 PM at the Milton Studio Art Gallery when you ask Shirley "What two colors make green?". From there, explore the town and race to find the Shamrock! In preparation for this fun, we will be serving green beer and slushies all St. Patrick's Day week

You wouldn't be in North Carolina if we weren't watching March Madness. Whether you are supporting dark or light blue, the games will be on at the Milton 66. Grab the bartenders beer special on game days to get a dollar off your bartender's favorite draft beer.

Just a reminder, Spring Market is just around the corner! April 13 from 1 to 7 PM we will celebrate all things spring with the opening of the garden center and a local vendor market. Stop in and enjoy an afternoon of shopping in Milton! Or, become apply to become a vendor. This is a great market for creatives and creative wanna-be’s.

Oh, and one more thing: we are now serving non-alcoholic slushies. So, pack the kids or your Southern Baptist friends in the car and head over for a cold one!
