Bring on The Seasons Greetings

According to the Dollar General up the street, the holidays are here and we are obliged to follow their lead and celebrate as well. We have a month packed with drink specials and events that are the perfect diversion from any drops in mercury or whatever my iPhone says.

In November, we welcome back our Chili Cook Off! Yes, on November 11, bring your best crockpot filled with your best homemade chili, and compete against your friends for a noble and glittering trophy and pride of knowing that your recipe really is the best. Anyone can enter this competition. Everyone can taste the entries. And, each drink purchase comes with one vote. This belly warming competition is only a start to all of the holiday fun.

On November 24, we welcome Christmas trees to the beer garden. We will post all the tree details on our homepage—stay tuned. And, on November 25, we will host our 2nd Annual Christmas Market! This
vendor market is filled with a selection of local goods and goodies that are perfect for holiday gifts, Santa will be onsite, and there will be lots of Christmas cheer! Bring the family out to kick off your Christmas season. There is a lot more happening, from seafood (Maine Lobster and NC Oyster365) to great music (Mama Bri Bri and the Stranger and Josh and the Dirty Rags), so check out the calendar and in the store for updates and more.

We certainly have a lot of good things coming this November, but we need to send out a few thank yous for October. First, a BIG thank you to the readers of the Caswell Messenger for voting us 2023 Best Bar. We like to think of ourselves as a space for the entire community and are happy to do our part to bring events, creativity, and a place to hang out for both the young and young at heart. Second, thank you to the NC Department of Commerce for partnering with the Town of Milton to caste a vision for Milton’s future. We were happy to do our part by hosting a visioning workshop for the town and are looking forward to good things to come from all of this great work! You can see a photo from the NC DOC event above. Third, thank you for coming out to Milton’s Autumn Fest! I don’t know if you have noticed but there are a lot of good things happening in Milton these days and your support is key to the town’s success.

With all of that being said, put on your best sweater and head our way to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
