It’s a New Year.

Each New Year gives us a moment to pause, reflect, and consider how we can improve and grow in the coming year. Over the first week of January, we took that moment, and are now ready to get back to work or fun as we like to think of it. The Milton 66 will be open with regular hours starting on Wednesday, January 10. Stop in and say ‘Happy New Year’ to Carrie!

To kick off the year right and to give everyone a few ways to pass the winter months, in January and February, we will be running some weekly specials. Here is what's up:

  • Wine Down Wednesdays: Enjoy a bottle of Rock of Ages Wine, Boxcarr Handmade Cheese, and The Accidental Baker crackers for $25 + tax. This delicious special includes some of the areas best local products and are all sourced from within 30 miles of the Milton 66.

  • Thirsty Thursdays continue with 50% off our massive Bavarian soft pretzels with any regularly priced drink purchase.

  • Friday Fundays kick off with a rotating selection $3 beers in a bin. This is a low cost way to try some of the great local beers, ciders, and seltzers that we rotate through our beer cooler.

We are also keeping up with all the cool kids and will host a Jackbox Game Night on Friday, January 19. Grab your phone and get ready to play! Not sure what Jackbox is? Google it. It's going to be a great.

We are excited for 2024. We have plans and dreams for growing this small business. Here are a few of our new year's resolutions:

  1. Expand and promote locally sourced food and drinks: Did you know that almost all of our products are sourced from NC? This year we will work on getting more local products and better communicating all things local to you! First up as a new product this year is Boxcarr Handmade Cheese! Sourced from Cedar Grove, NC. We will be offering Boxcarr Cheese in the cooler starting in January 2024. The cheese will be on sale on Wednesdays as part of “Wine Down Wednesdays” and is a great pairing with beer and wine in the store or as something to take home. While you are trying the cheese, check out some of our other great local products like: Our Pride Pimento Cheese (Roxboro, NC), Cackalacky Spiced Nuts (Pittsboro, NC), and much more!

  2. Make the beer garden an unforgettable space: We want to create a green oasis in the middle of Milton. A space that the entire community can enjoy year round. In December, we were given a grant by the Caswell County Tourism Development Authority to improve our outdoor space. The details are still in works, but we are very much looking forward to improving the beer garden by making it more accessible year round, more green, and adding more amenities.

  3. Host events and run promotions that make sense: We are still working on what is our sweet spot for events and promotions. If you have ideas, want to collaborate, or use the space, let us know! We want to build a business and a space that the entire community can love and enjoy.

We hope to see you (and your friends) soon — Happy New Year!
